Teton River Seasonal Volunteer Camp Host

Location: Rainey access site on the Teton River ("The Big Eddy")

Duration: May 27 through September 6, 2022

Position Description:
Teton County is seeking an recreational vehicle-based volunteer camp host (couples welcome) to monitor camping at the Teton River Rainey access site. The camp host will educate campers about the 10-day camping limit at the site, track campers' length of stay and notify Idaho Fish & Game officers when campers exceed the stay limit. The camp host is NOT expected to directly enforce the camping limit. This is a seasonal volunteer position extending from May 27th through September 6th. Propane will be supplied for the season, along with a $30/day stipend.

Requirements:
Volunteer (single person or couple) must be over 21 years of age and supply their own self-countained recreational camping vehicle. Must maintain RV presence throughout the duration of the season and maintain a daily record of overnight campers at the site. Must be willing to report code violations and work with IDFG and local law enforcement officers.
