In response to keeping our customers and employees at minimum risk from the COVID-19 outbreak, we are closing the Sheriffs Office doors to the public until further notice. Emergency Services are still up and running, we are just closing non-essential services at this time.

For emergencies, please dial 9-1-1. We are still available by phone 24/7 at 208-354-2323 for non-emergency calls as well.

On 03/17/2020, Idaho Transportation Department announced an extension on all Idaho credentials except CDL's with a hazmat endorsement.

Effective immediately, ITD has extended all Driver's Licenses, Driver's Training Permits, Instruction Permits, Commercial Learner's Permits, Identification Cards, and Commercial Driver's Licenses (CDL) without a hazmat endorsement that are expired or will expire between March 1, 2020 and May 31, 2020, to be valid until June 30, 2020. During this time, CDL holders will still need to comply with medical examiner certificate requirements to be considered valid.

We are available for appointment only for CDL drivers who need Hazmat testing. We will also register your DOT Medical cards if you come to the door between 8 AM and 5 PM Monday through Thursday only.

We will have print outs of ITD's Notice of Emergency Extension for you to carry with your Driver's License they will be available at the front entrance of the LEC building.
